About: Lachlan has been tutoring in mathematics and sciences for five years, and has been helping people learn for much longer. He has had the pleasure of being able to apply his learning to tutoring others. COVID-19 has been a running challenge for many young people navigating high school studies from home however, despite the challenges, Lachlan watched his students not only successfully pass their subjects but exceed expectations.

About: Ana is a friendly and passionate educator who wants to help students succeed in their studies and achieve their academic goals. Atop her two years of tutoring experience, she is no stranger to offering support, frequently assisting her fellow students, and sharing her tips for learning. Ana’s passion for education is shown in her numerous academic awards and achievements throughout high school and university. Her desire to use her knowledge and skills to help people will ensure the best outcome for her students.

About: Em has been working with children for six years in various ways. She has taught many skills, including Mathematics and English. With her Certificate III in Education Support, she has navigated multiple learning styles and gained experience surrounding disability and extra support needs for students. Due to these studies, she has a lot of one-on-one experience. Em recognises the importance of receiving extra help in schooling, as she notes it helps build confidence and lead the students on, and prevents them falling behind their peers.

About: Alexandra greatly enjoys educating and motivating others; as can be reflected by her previous years of experience as an assistant ballet teacher, a babysitter, and in her career goal of becoming a highschool teacher. Her enthusiasm to teach others, alongside her compassionate and encouraging nature motivates her students to be successful. Familiar with the pressures many students face when it comes to their academic learning, Alexandra aims to encourage her students to overcome challenges with empathy and understanding. Alexandra creates a supportive tutoring environment that will see her students achieve their goals.

About: Mo is passionate about learning to understand how the world works using science, maths and language. They enjoy sharing this passion, and want to help their students to not only know what they need to, but develop an understanding that allows them to gain a higher level of insight. Through this, Mo aims to assist students in not only reaching their academic goals, but also discovering their own learning style, and strategies to overcome their struggles.

About: Christopher enjoys helping others and has both a fun and caring nature. He has been involved in many team-based, extra-curricular activities over the years, including: Dance and Baseball, the SA Hiragana Competition, the Banksia Park reading ambassadors group and Japanese club. His involvement in these activities has given him great experience working in a lead role and alongside others, in particular guiding and encouraging the newer and younger members to succeed. It is also these experiences, and his own journey as a student which has led to his chosen career path as a Primary School Teacher. Christopher is a patient and supportive educator and is able to think outside of the box, helping and encouraging students to learn and achieve in their own way. He strives to make learning rewarding and engaging, inspiring both self-confidence and success.
